Welcome to DMU

Dublin Metropolitan University is a federation of colleges and institutes which together constitute the university. Established in 1998, the framework of university is based on the model inspired by the older universities especially that model of one of the oldest and one of the largest universities in Britain today.

The colleges and institutes within the federation are known as recognised bodies with the authority to enrol, teach and examine students subject to inspection and moderation, and have the University award them degrees. One of the conditions of membership of the DMU federation is that colleges do not award degrees of their own.

The colleges and institutes, within the DMU system offer courses leading to degrees that are awarded by DMU. Additionally, the University licenses the conducting of its courses to approved organisations outside of the system subject to approval of syllabi, inspection and moderation.

DMU is not meant to be used as a vehicle for entry visa application or any immigration issues or purposes whatsoever.

Dublin Metropolitan University does not itself own any teaching or research facilities as all teaching and research is organised by the colleges and institutions associated with the university.

New DMU e-Campus

New eCampus

DMU are proud to present their new Ecampus. The Ecampus is the Dublin Metropolitan University on-line facility avaialble to its students.

The e-Campus project is part of an umbrella DMU e-Learning project. Users are requested to visit the web site regularly for changes and further additional services are planned for supporting students in their educational endeavour.
