The College of Fellows is an organisation of educationalists and businessmen who promote the interests of the College and support the aims and objectives of the University. They form a body of graduates not all from the University, as suitably qualified graduates from other institutions are also in membership.

The principal role of the College is to assist the University act as an advisory body, to support the teaching staff by contributing towards their further education and research.

The College also acts as a networking point for the Fellows who are helping to raise the status level of the University towards greater recognition. Many Fellows invited to serve on consultative committees and to contribute advice.

The College of Fellows is supervised by the Prefect of the College who is elected annually and administered by a Dean. The Prefect reports to the Vice-Chancellor.

The College has a consultative committee drawn from among the Fellows by consent. The Committee reports through the Dean to the Prefect.
