DMU is a global private university, registered in the European Union and entirely unsupported by government funds. It adheres to the recognised traditional means of education through class-room teaching, guided independent research and distance learning. Although not accredited it aspires towards full official recognition and its degrees are accepted by a number of eduactional Institutions in the UK who have admitted DMU Bachelor and Post Graduate Diploma holders on to their Master degree programmes.DMU is not meant to be used as a vehicle for entry visa application or any immigration issues or purposes whatsoever. In July 2001 the Jabtan Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia granted course accreditation to run DMU courses for the EMBA, the MSc, the DBA and PhD. DMU is a full member of the British Institute For Learning & Development(BILD). BILD, though not an accrediting agency is a body of over 400 institutions and over 600 individuals. It is an independent forum for advancing techniques and technologies in learning. The BILD’s purpose is connecting people, methods and new ideas for learning. It is committed to building a dynamic learning community with global reach, dedicated to innovation, excellence and best practice learning. DMU is a member of the International Association of Educators for World Peace which is an NGO and a member of UNESCO.
