Procedures for the Verification of Documents PDF Print E-mail
PLEASE NOTE:

Because of legal requirements we are unable to accept requests for verification over the telephone

Persons wishing to verify documents must write to us stating their interest. Their interest must be such that warrants the release of information.

Absolute proof of identity will be required and sight of the documents and or other information held may be required. Unless we are satisfied beyond reasonable doubt as to the identity of those requesting the information, no information shall be released.

Those requesting verification information must fall within the following categories:

The Student

• The student will have the right of access to the personal data held by us by sending a written request to us and payment of £5 for confirmation of information held.
• The student will have the right to require us to correct any inaccuracies in the information held provided that the student can sustain the request.

An Employer or Prospective Employer

• An employer or prospective employer may request verification of information with the written consent of the person about whom the enquiry is being made. Then subject to the provisions outlined above information may be discretionally released.

Validating Agencies

• Validating agencies acting on behalf of an employer may request information with the written consent of the person about whom the enquiry is being made. Then subject to the provisions outlined above information may be discretionally released.
